The exhibition of  25 paintings , prints and sculptures by six of John’s artists friends at Conquest House, Canterbury  won the  approval  by the Gallery  owner  last week . She said it was a refreshing and vibrant  show , full of human  interest and  would have liked it to stay longer.

She  especially liked Tony Oldacre’s Portrait of John Oliver  as an Art student  wearing a bow tie , not the way many of his friends   ever saw him !  The photo from which this portrait was taken is shown below .

The  show moves to Rose Street Cottage of Curiosities , Sheerness, ME12 1AJ  on Tuesday  July 11   with a Preview at 6.0 pm – 9.0pm  and talk at 6.30. All welcome . Phone 07775 712 306

This is a fascinating  heritage Museum  with cream teas , open on Tuesdays , Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays  11.0 – 3.0 pm

Joliver’s  show runs from July 11- July 29 . 2017
